EHCS has a carefully implemented network for sourcing high-quality overseas candidates particularly Philippines and India. Our RNs are not only well trained and highly educated, but are well-screened to ensure their commitment to the rigorous testing and screening processes required of them for employment with U.S. hospitals.
While we recruit on an ongoing basis to provide a steady pool of RNs representing many specialties, EHCS also offers the means to tailor a plan specific to the needs of the hospital. We work in partnership with our client hospitals to discover and remedy their particular staffing needs.

- Personal visits to client hospital from EHCS representatives to meet hospital HR and nursing management teams to build an accurate client profile.
- Individual recruitment campaigns on behalf of EHCS clients throughout our recruitment network.
- Organizing and conducting client visits for on-site interviews. Alternatively, video conferencing and telephone interviews can be arranged.
Recruitment
EHCS’s recruitment team has a proven track record of success in sourcing and placing foreign nurses in the U.S. Strict screening of our candidates brings only the most qualified and motivated RNs to our client hospitals. Our recruiter and staff are located in various locations overseas, where they monitor and support the nurses during the licensing and immigration process.
Immigration
our legal team at EHCS is expert in all facets of the immigration process. The laws and regulations pertaining to the foreign nurse are complicated and ever-changing. Our immigration team is current and knowledgeable in all legal aspects pertaining to the foreign nurse.
Walking the Candidates through the Immigration Process
The process of immigrating to the U.S. is a very demanding and complicated legal matter. Every hired candidate must understand that the immigration process does not begin when she/he receives an invitation to the U.S. Embassy for an interview, but much earlier. Our experienced legal team offers qualified and professional advice to our candidates and their family members in order for everyone to obtain permanent residency in the U.S. (a Green Card). This not only allows the RN to work in the U.S., but, if married, the spouse as well.
The United States Government poses specific legal requirements on foreign nurses who intend to immigrate to the United States. EHCS, in close collaboration with its legal team, ensures that all required immigration paperwork and necessary supporting documents are filed with the US Citizenship and Immigration Service in a timely manner. Our legal know-how includes thorough knowledge of:
- Laws pertaining to immigration of the foreign nurse and his/her family
- Mandatory VisaScreen certification for the foreign nurses
- Unique features of immigration case processing in different states
- H-1B temporary visa opportunity for specialty nurses
Licensing
While all foreign nurses entering the U.S. for employment are subject to many of the same regulations, such as successful completion of the NCLEX Exam and VisaScreen, there are additional requirements for the RNs in many of the states across the U.S. EHCS is committed to being knowledgeable and current with the regulations of the various states, as well as to discover the speediest route for the nurse to begin working in U.S. hospitals.
Guiding the Candidates Through the Licensing processes with Personal Assistance
Once a candidate is hired, there are many applications to fill out, documents to retrieve, and several exams for which to study, and, ultimately pass. This process can seem a bit overwhelming to the candidate. We, at EHCS, take pride in our hands-on approach with our nurses. We guide them through the various requirements with a personal touch. We remain available to them from the recruitment stage until the day that employment with the hospital commences.
Above and beyond what the United States requires of foreign nurses in licensing, the individual states may have their own unique requirements. ENA does its homework to ensure that these individual standards are met. Our expertise includes knowledge of:
- Visa Screen certification
- CGFNS/CES (CGFNS certifiation / Credential Evaluation Service)
- NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses)
- English proficiency exam (TOEFL / TSE / IELTS)
- Individual State Nurse Requirements
- Endorsement of RN license for practicing in a particular State where the nurse is placed
During the time that it takes to process the candidates for licensure, we remain in contact and gain regular updates of the individuals’ progress. We work diligently to maintain the enthusiasm the nurses feel when first offered employment, while they await completion of the licensure process.
